The bishop's crown, Christmas bell or Joker’s hat is a Capsicum pepper named for its distinctive three-sided shape that resembles a bishop's crown.
This species is found in Barbados and South America. Today it is also grown in Europe. The plant can grow to a height of 80 - 120 cm and can produce 30 to 50 peppers. These flying saucer-like peppers grow about 4 cm wide. The flesh in each pepper is thin yet crunchy.
They ripen to red of a light green color about 90-100 days after the seedlings emerge. In terms of spiciness, this strain falls into the mild category.
