This is the yellow brother of the Moruga Scorpion Red, but is a little milder (but not mild by any stretch of the imagination), delivering a more fruity punch. No official testing has been done on the yellow variety, but it's thought to sit above 1 million Scoville Heat Units - so not for the faint hearted!Pods mature to a brilliant yellow, slightly wrinkled in texture, a common characteristic with super hot chillies. The vibrant yellow means this chilli makes striking coloured spices and sauces.
The Trinidad Moruga Scorpion also comes in red and chocolate varieties.
Note: handle with care, and preferably always wear gloves.
