The Pimientos de Padron is a small, green and fragrant chili pepper. The Spanish tapas pepper is not spicy and is eaten in Spain as a snack or as a side dish with dinner.

The pepper is not only popular in Spain, it is also increasingly on the menus of restaurants in America, Mexico, Germany and the Netherlands. The pepper is delicious for baking or grilling with some sea salt and olive oil. Bake or grill the Padron peppers in a pan or oven with oil until the peppers blacken and shrivel, about 5 minutes in a pan over medium heat and 15-20 minutes in the oven (175 degrees). And top it off with (sea) salt. It is also possible to prepare this on the BBQ!
