The appearance of the Carolina Reaper resembles extreme heat. In 2013, Guinness declared the Carolina Reaper the hottest pepper in the world, developed in South Carolina by "Smokin" Ed Currie, who crossed a Habanero Red with a Ghost pepper Red.
This spicy pepper is absolutely impressive. It has a sweet chocolate-cherry undertone with a hint of citrus.
